Dottie the Ladybug (Russian: Мила, Mila) is one of the main characters of the animated series and movie. She is a ladybug who is one of Moonzy's friends. Weebee loves Dottie, but he cannot openly confess her love to her. Her secret passion is playing the accordion.
Interests[]
Dottie likes to play with Moonzy, Skip, Weebee and the caterpillars. She often sits on the beach, sculpts sand cakes and builds sand castles. Dottie loves various fairy tales, reads books about knights, dragons and fairies, although she understands that this is not true and just a fairy tale. And, she often happens to be a director — she puts on plays and makes films. In the episode «Striped and Silver» and «Talking Forest», she shows interest in botany and takes care of plants.
Behavior[]
Dottie is often upset when someone crushes her sand cakes in the meadow at the Pond. When Dottie is upset, she often begins to cry. She, like her name, is cute, smart and polite. But when she is angry, then her offender will not go unpunished — she knows how to stand up for herself and her friends. Dottie can come up with witty tricks to teach caterpillars a lesson or draw the attention of the boys.
Family[]
Dottie's parents are not mentioned, but they do or did exist. Dottie has a grandmother, who is mentioned in the series "Quilt", and she does not live very far from Dottie. Most likely, Dottie is an orphan, like most of the children in the world of the cartoon.

Moonzy[]
He was Dottie's first friend. They first met in the “Dottie” episode(only russian version, on English no dub), and since then they have been friends. At first dotty was angry that Moonzy had almost trampled her sand cakes, but then the caterpillars came and trampled the cakes. Fortunately, Moonzy found a way to outwit the caterpillars and make friends with Dottie.
Woopsie and Poopsie[]
Caterpillars often deliberately or accidentally ruin their relationship with Dottie. They love to trample her cakes and crush castles. However, in newer episodes, they no longer do this.
Weebee[]
Dottie really likes Weebee. He gives her presents and compliments, but he cannot confess his love, because he is shy. Dottie knows about this and waits for the Little Bee to decide.
Skip[]
Dottie and Skip try to maintain friendly relations, although quarrels sometimes arise. Skip often perceives Dottie as a «cowardly girl» and does not approve of her participation in some games. In general, their relationship can be called friendly.
